Several of you have convinced me to try out Eagle, and that's exactly what I'm doing now. So far, I love it. Here's where I'm stuck: This is my first experience using an autorouter and I have a section of AC line (or mains)voltage components in one area of the board that I don't want the autorouter to sneak any small traces in- between. The spacing requirement for the higher voltage is much greater than for 5V stuff. Is there a way to block off such an area from the autorouter, or is there a way to autoroute two different minimum widths? It seems to me that Supply and Gnd nets would be considered similarly. I am afraid that the only way to do this is to manually route the minority nets, then let the autorouter do the rest, ripping up any conflicts that can't be defined in the DRC afterward. Are my fears well founded? TIA, Chris -- http://www.piclist.com hint: PICList Posts must start with ONE topic: [PIC]:,[SX]:,[AVR]: ->uP ONLY! [EE]:,[OT]: ->Other [BUY]:,[AD]: ->Ads
