Switch the battery voltage to your voltage divider with a cheap
P-Channel logic-level Mosfet (like BSS84) whenever you need to
make a battery voltage reading. After you are done, turn it off.
The voltage divider provides a pull down to ground which keeps
the pin from floating. Works great.
