Then why not just use a CS8900 or RTL3189? The electrical interface put me off until I saw the LF1S022, basically an RJ45 jack with all the transformers and crud built in. You can buy 'em from www.netmedia.com at about $5 each. They also make a $29 embeddable Web server, but it's not what you're looking for (it's not really even what *I* was looking for).
