Bob, some years ago I serviced a few "Lasertronic" units. Whether the name is coincidental and means anything or not I can't say, but here's the system they used When the trigger is pulled, three 220ms bursts are sent Each 220ms burst is - 100ms plain 26.2kHz, 60ms of gun ID, 60ms gun ID. The gun ID is broken down as - quiet for 10ms, then a 5-bit ID, each bit either 10ms of 26.2kHz or quiet The transmitting diode is a TOLD9211 IR laser. The first units I looked at had a 68HC705P2 in the gun and jacket and an 8031 in the base station. Just before the place moved out of town they were introducing new units with 16C84s in the gun and jacket -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu
