As with any feature on any device there can always be thigs that catch you out. The interrupt on change feature works exactly like the datasheet says it does. Naturally, if you change the level of one of these pins (as an output), the micro senses it and triggers and interrupt.....also read modify write instructions can cause this effect. There are similat gotchas in the use of anolog pins and TIMER1 for example, it really is just a case of looking at what the application is doing, and really trying to empathise with the micro to work out why something is going wrong. Btw. You have the REPLY TO address set in your email client to you. If you clear this entry, it will still work for you, but this reply would automatically go to the piclist, without me having to manually change this. Olin really hates it when people do this ;-) Regards, Kevin > -----Original Message----- > From: pic microcontroller discussion list > [mailto:PICLIST@mitvma.mit.edu] On Behalf Of Nigel Duckworth > Sent: 22 March 2002 17:01 > To: PICLIST@mitvma.mit.edu > Subject: [PIC]: Is it ok to use 'portb interrupt on change'? > > > I use 'portb interrupt on change' to wake a 16C621A from > sleep in a four button hand-held remote control application > running on two AAA cells, no problems so far. > > On Friday, March 22, 2002 4:34 PM, Carlos Ojea > [SMTP:carlosojea@LEVELTELECOM.ES] wrote: > > Hello : > > > > I know some people on this list are dissapointed with > 'portb interrupt > > on change' (RB4-RB7 in 18C452).
