I haven't. There is a web site somewhere where aomeone shows how to use the control board of the floppy to control the motors (so you can skip the motor drivers, etc), and when I was a cub scout den leader I was mentally putting one together with a 12c508 (I've got lots) and an IR receiver with a whisker or two. I figured with junk floppies they could be built for under $10 each, which is easily in the budget of a cub scout den. I've still thought about it from time to time, but power issues still bug me. Floppy drives are not meant to be power saving, but then no one is going to complain if a $10 robot only lasts 1/2 hour on 4 AA batteries I suppose. -Adam Bala Chandar wrote: >M.
