Has anyone here tried Fairchild Semi's OPTILOGIC series?  I'm curious if
they'd help to replace a lot of the mini pcb's you get with most IR
interface circuits.  Seems like you could just hook both ends, the
transmitter and receiver to a i/o port and use it, cake.
