Hi Adam,
The two pics are both run off a regulated 5v supply (from 12v). The project
otherwise runs as expected, so I'm well confused as to why these pins keep
on dying.....
My hypothesis so far centres around the fact that I'm not using ICSP so I'm
moving the 16F877 in and out of the DIP socket many times. Perhaps on one
occasion a poor contact ment the output pin saw a +ve supply before the pic
was powered up.... Something like that??? If all else fails I'll get a
prototype completely finished and run it for a week or two to see if it will
go wrong... Not exactly ideal as a proving exercise though still required as
part of the development program.....
