If anyone opened this virus, you really need to do something about it
quickly.  This virus will wait one month while spreading itself around (such
as it is doing for Mr. Petras).  After one month, it can re-flash the bios
with garbage (making your motherboard unusable and probably unfixable),
although I have never seen it actually do this.  It also can overwrite much
of your hard drive.  I have removed this virus from many computers, it can
infect scores (if not hundreds) of files on your computer making a big mess.
Fortunately someone wrote a program that can clean the infected files and
"unhook" the Magistr virus.  It is called fixmagistr.exe and is available
from www.trend.com  If anyone needs any assistance, feel free to contact me.
