Friends, I am designing a small PIC circuit that runs off of a 3V lithium battery. One of the requirements is that I will be needing a 6V @ 2A peak surge for about 1 second. I need to use a seperate battery for the "surge". It will be a one time surge before the system is then reset by the user. I was thinking of using a MAXIM chip but am open to any suggestions. Power supply design for portable electronics is not my cup of tea. I would appreciate any assistance / advice you could give me. Thanks in advance!!
