You mean convert it to a digital encoders as opposed to existing analog
ones?
If so, you could take a look at the source code library on the piclist
website-
theres sure to be some examples on there to interface to rotary encoders,
and if
not, have a search through the message archives because I know the subject
has
come up several times in the past few months.
