I think there is something else wrong and not the motherboard. Make SURE you are using all the drivers on the CD that comes with the motherboard even though your OS might be finding a usable driver. You didn't state which OS you are using. I use the ASUS P4B among others, TYAN, and Intel chip sets running Windows 2000 at my radio station and use all the peripherals on the motherboard and have no problem with speed and processing. One advantage of all-in-one, is that you can add a second sound card, network card, or video card and the OS will recognize them.
