Hi Brusque, Not sure if this will help, but ST (www.st.com) make a part called the ST485 which supports 64 nodes @ 300-500uA with driver disabled and 400-900uA enabled - according to the datasheet.. I'm not doing low power stuff, so there might be a better solution out there.
