I once accidentally made a PC board with .1 inch holes for a DB-9 connector. I got it thru the holes with a little persuasion. However, a 25 pin connector is a lot wider and the error is cumulative, so it would probably require some mangling. If this is for RS-232, you are probably only using 3 or 5 of the pins. If no hardware handshaking is used, then you are only using pins 2, 3, and 7. If this is the case, you can clip off the unused pins and the remaining ones should go into the holes without too much trouble. ******************************************************************** Olin Lathrop, embedded systems consultant in Littleton Massachusetts (978) 742-9014, olin@embedinc.com, http://www.embedinc.com -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu
