Hi Everyone,

In my never-ending quest to have far too many things to do, I'm
contemplating building and electric motorcycle..

I know very little about motor control and the pros and cons of various
types of motors so I'm looking for a good book on the various types of
motors and controlling them.

It seems that most people out there building electric vehicles are using DC
permanent magnet motors and using some form of PWM to control them.. However
I've read that AC motors can be more efficient.

Can anyone recommend a good book or two on the subject? Anyone have any
thoughts or experiences that they would like to share?
