I do not have any 16F877 code, but I know haw to create custon
characters and animations on an HD44780 based LCD.

On my site at www.geocities.com/dinceraydin/lcd/ you can find the
necessary info and tools to use custom characters.
Also, the LCD simulator at http://www.geocities.com/dinceraydin/djlcdsim/djlcdsim.html
has a CGRAM wiever, so that you can play with custom character creation
easily.
