Be careful with the Midrange reference manual. I wasted way more time than I'd like to admit on an A/D problem because of an error in that doccument. For those who are interested, the reference manual states that bit 5 of ADCON0 controls ADMF (left or right justification of the conversion result). It is in fact, bit 7. The 16F877 datasheet gets it right. By all means, read the reference manual. But when you start coding, use the write-up for the specific PIC that you are using.
