Do you want to bit-bang it or use the USART port? If the former, I have used this routine with great success on 87x and f84's. Use the rs232.asm. http://www.sonic.net/~schlae/pic.html By using the constants you can select almost any standard baud with common crystals. Uses no hardware timers or interrupts. I've modified the program to make it easier to understand and to display ascii result to led's. Let me know if interested.
