i haven't used newark, but i don't have anything bad to say about digikey.

i can get parts faster from them (minnesota) than i can from vancouver ( i
live in northern BC)

digikey's pricing may not be the sharpest pencil on the block but for 1 or
two items, you can't expect the best price.

i mostly use their online system for ordering, but have used phone on
occasion. heck, they even sent me a hand signed christmas card. now that is
customer care!
