"I did a VERY quick test with some 16c505 and internal
RC osc at 4MHz. Speed variation between chips was less
than 0.5%, and what surprised me was that the difference
between 27'C and 40'C was only about 0.5% also!! I only
measured about 5 or 6 chips, and they were from the same
(recent) batch"

0.5% is much less than I would have expected based on my
measurements of the variation in the resistor-based WDT,
which were 2.29 seconds at 27C and 2.47 seconds at 40C,
or a difference of 7.86 %  It seems INTRC is more carefully
fabricated than WDT wrt to stability over a wide temperature
range
