If you're on a so tight budget (that $9 is a lot) then try to use a
camcorder cassette housing. There are 3 sizes to choose from: DV, 8mm and
VHS-C. Comes with clear or smoked lid as you wish, plus a nifty closure
system ('no tools required'). VHS-C is about 2 x 3 in. afair.
