Wow, we're not so high tech here.  Ours uses a pink gel thing and a separate D
cell.  Either may be replaced individually.  Lately it seems that neither has
been replaced and a fanless model has been placed on an other wall.

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one that takes those things apart.
