Almost thought you had the mind-set there for a moment, but
you forgot "sign for it"

Seriously, you never know who's going to be doing it. Could
be a "work for the dole" type or hunter who's got "better things
to do" than lug batteries around. Never ceases to amaze me
how indifferent people can be to the success of someone's
project or how carelessly they treat equipment
