Nope, no flicker or burning smell. The screen just went extremely dim. You can see the screen is still working, but the backlight is not on. I can run the backlight from an external inverter, and all is well. A power supply board costs $100.00 and the display assembly is $399.99. I'll keep you posted on what I find out.
