A good enough once in an eternity event to post to a few lists where it is (almost) irrelevant. Note that while the following refers to a single hour the date 20 02 2002 lasts on earth for 48 hours. It's already started here in NZ (30 minutes ago(and I must go to bed) ) and will end in Alaska and a few other places 48.5 hours from now. NB: To take part in this (almost) unique experience USA'ites are going to have to learn to write the date properly for one day ie 20 02 2002 rather than the more normal (for them) 02 20 2002. _____________________________ SYNCHRONIZE YOUR WATCHES! As the clock ticks over from 8:01PM on Wednesday, February 20th, 2002, time will (for sixty seconds only) read in perfect symmetry. To be more precise: 20:02, 20/02, 2002. It is an event which has only happened once before, and is something which will never be repeated. The last occasion that time read in such a symmetrical pattern was long before the days of the digital watch (or the 24-hour clock): 10:01AM, on October 1, 1001. And because the clock only goes up to 23.59, it is something that will never happen again. __________________ Forwarded by Gavin Higgie -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
