Howdy. I am trying to write a custom serial interface for a PIC project, sort = of like DOS-based terminal. I'm using the DJGPP compiler by DJ Delorie, = with the SVASync interrupt-driven serial comm package. The program runs = fine on my old desktop PC, but refuses to read the external serial port = on my laptop. =20 I have one of those PCMCIA Universal Port Replicators, which works great = in Windows. Also, when I try to write to the port from DOS, I can see = the waveform on my scope. But reading the port always returns -1. The settings are 9600, 8-N-1. =20 Has anyone ran into a similar problem before? I would appreciate any = information you could share.. Thank you!
