Edson, what I know with large displays from my experience: - do not multiplex them if working in direct sun ( even there are superbright, because of small visibility angle the result will be pour ) -any segment support up to 35...40mA and the voltage depend by the led numbers inside the segment -if you plan an indoor product then you may multiplex and increase the current up to 50% than continuous mode and choose a correct duty cycle ( the medium power on any segment must be keept under maximum ratings ) And just a remark: 4 inch = 10cm is a small display, I've built using 10mm leds, displays up to 60cm. regards, Vasile On Thu, 14 Feb 2002, Edson Brusque wrote: > Hello, > > a client asked me to make a device with some big LED-7-Seg displays.
