Just wanted to post a quick word of thanks to the following people for showing their support of the PICList by purchasing a mug or T-shirt at http://www.cafepress.com/cp/store/store.aspx?storeid=piclist Michael A. Predko Allen Weltzin Aaron Hofer Sr. Lawrence Lile Mark Skeels Chris Loiacono Bryan Whitehouse Martin T Baker Steve Murphy Harold Hallikainen Roman Black As soon as I get the check from cafepress, I will forward half of it to MIT. Looks like about $30. Thanks to the following for making donations totaling $115 over the past year to support the piclist.com site: Lawrence Lile Tim McDonough Dwayne Reid Audio Visual Devices Pty Ltd PawnGallery.com The following people should be mentioned individually: Jory started the list. He secured the support of MIT and continues to help keep us up. He has donated more time than I care to think about as well as software and hardware for the site. Dmitry Kiryashov contributed $100 for the second hard drive of three needed for a RAID drive array. Not to mention some really good code! Nikolai Golovchenko contributed $470 towards the new server. Not to mention the Code Generators, Converter and tons of really good code! Dale Botkin has spent countless hours of his time fixing problems and keeping the MIT admins happy with our error rate. He is also sending a Sparc 5 to me for connection on my Escondido cable modem. That box will host some email and a backup SQL server. And it might be able to serve as a backup for the list server... I personally have spent $115/mo on ISP charges for the Escondido site (the office ISP is covered by hosting contract) and about $900 on the new server (which kicks butt!). And some few hours (!!!) working on the list and on the site. M. Adam Davis spent a lot of time building the new server (at near cost) and hasn't yet billed me for the last upgrade... I'm waiting. If you would like to show your support for any of these worthy folks, please visit http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist/support.htm If I missed anyone, please let me know? Finally, I'd like to say thanks to the people who have given of their time and code to answer questions and solve problems on the PICList. And that doesn't count the people who catch us on the news feed or just read the archives. The web site got 9,756,422 hits and served 21,996,334,213 bytes to 801,141 distinct IP addresses so they could view 5,743,767 pages. Obviously, lots of people agree that the PICList is a good thing to be a part of. --- James Newton, webmaster piclist.com (former Admin #3) mailto:jamesnewton@piclist.com 1-619-652-0593 VM 1-208-279-8767 FAX PIC/PICList FAQ: http://www.piclist.com or .org -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
