RFID tags have no leads, that's part of their charm

But I yank your chain - I got the best service from Atmel. They
were all over me with help. Microchump have still to get back
to me after 3 enquiries in 4 months and a complaint to the
sales manager

Best price from Atmel (IIRC) was US$0.48c/10,000. Olimex
sell a packaged tag for US$5.95, you could work backwards
from that. US$2 / 10 for plain tags from Atmel ? A Google
search a while ago turned up many resellers, many of them
security firms
