I finished version 1.1 of the Ezcom2web, remember, the HTTP server with serial communication capabilities. It is available at (freeware): http://www.easyvitools.com/download.html New features: authentication, file looging, settings for each serial port, can be customize using tables and CSS, can be embedded in a very complicated web page, can serve "normal" files. You can build a little site (well, just for you and your friends..) with it. Also I put it online for testing at: http://217.156.25.76:8090/ports/index.html On COM1 is a PIC16C711, you can try some commands (writing to this port) to read AD channels, put (three) pins low or high, read (three) input pins-tied to the output pins to see changes and some more. On COM2 is a modem, you can try some AT commands on it (these must be followed by a hard return-hit [ENTER] and then push WRITE button). Please note that is a poor and unreliable 33Kb line to that machine and the server allows only one user at a time (expire time is set to 1 minute of inactiyity). Please be patient and do not abuse.Thanks. I started another application, a scheduler for network tasks, like RAS connecting/disconnecting, FTP put files, send emails. It will help to keep a project online (posting dynamic data on a remote server) or just to keep a machine online, based on a regular time interval. It will be freeware too.
