Microchip DOES have a discussion forum on their site.  I've used it, but I
must say that the piclist gets much better and faster responses.  If you
want to check it out, it's at http://tech.microchip.com

For the most part, they seem to leave unfavorable posts on the site, unless
the content (language, etc.) is considered offensive by general standards.

The biggest problem with the board is that they hardly publicize it at all -
not many people know about it, so it's hard to get a timely response.  This
somewhat negates the forum's value.
