Well I for one am certainly glad he saved the PICList.

His actions on that critters problems also seem to me to be quite
reasonable.

Having changed my options to "NOMAIL" before going on holiday for a month, I
came back and set it to "MAIL" again, got two messages, and then no more. A
couple of days later I went probing in the PICList archive and found all the
instructions to find somehow I was unsubscribed. I managed to get back on
without all that hoo-haa that has caused this thread.

The information is all there, if only people look for it. Unfortunately we
are all too ready to "leap into print" and shoot off an email when something
goes wrong, instead of sitting back and doing 2 minutes of our own
thinking - I know, I am as bad as everyone else at it.
