Z mod is on most scopes, though it's usually on the back, and often ignored.

A DSO front end could be pretty cute, especially if you hide it in a
drawer, or inside the scope itself.

A 1945 oscillograph-wobbulator with storage, and four channel readout, I
love it! :)
