Hello Colin, Have a look at: http://www.epanorama.net/links/serialbus.html Basically, SPI is a 4-wire link developed by Motorola. I think it's one of the older interfaces. I2C (I catch myself saying "I two see") is a 2-wire link developed by Philips.
