Yet another way to control a remote device connected to a PC serial port. Ezcom2web is in fact a small HTTP server with serial comm. capabilities. It hasn't help/docs by now, but usage is very simple. Choose serial port settings, port to listen for connections, expire time. Click "Activate" and it is ready. Point your browser to the machine where ezcom2web runs (127.0.0.1 if testing local), voila, a serial terminal software in your browser (well, not really)! Now it is a beta available, but is quite usable and stable. I want to add: authentication, customizable headers and footers, css. Beta version is available at: http://www.easyvitools.com/ezcom2web/index.html It will be freeware. Next week I will have available a real project online, a PIC based room temperature/pressure monitor, now I am fighting to calibrate the thermometer built with a dioda :-). Talking about remote control/monitoring/logging, I must say that Easy Control has now implemented TCP/IP messaging. Version 1.2 has also more news, like more controls/instruments, three independent timers, new statement to save the rack of instruments as a jpeg file. And of course the new home: http://www.easyvitools.com/index.html If interested please see the "News" page, and the "Articles" section, some new articles, even how to build a network messenger in 22 script lines (to show how to use TCP/IP messaging).
