Recently seen a programming tool that might work - "Softwire" has a =
control for Visual basic that will "mine" a webpage for data - you could =
then use it ti send the data to a serial port

You would need Visual Basic, Softwire will work as a demo for 90 days I =
think - maybe enough time to geneate your app

page, then grab it and put it out onto a serial port?

can someone give me a clue about where to get started on this?

I was thinking of using a pic based machine to grab weather data from
the internet, and then rf it around the building to other displays.
