Excellent. Now I have a question: is it possible to choose HTML or non HTML
on a per message basis? The appropriate format depends on the target.

Actually I was trying to teach you. In every reponse, both in my rant, and this
message to you I posted off list, I have given you information that you can
use. But I had not gotten any indication that you had gained any understanding
from it. No change in behavior, no response, no followup qurstions. Simply
new questions in the same format. I simply responded to them.

Excellent! And this list is an excellent resource. But please realize that
it has over 2000 members. So taking a bit of time to gather some information
before posting adds quality to the list. The archives and Google are
invaluable. Usually you can find out a lot without having to add a new
question to the list.

Also one more point on your TCP/IP/Ethernet question. There's been extensive
discussions on the use of TCP as opposed to UDP as the transport. Before
embarking on this journey you should check both the archives of the list
and groups.google.com in comp.arch.embedded where there have been several
long threads on the subject in the last couple of months.
