I think CCS' support policy sucks too, but so far they have not shown any inclination to change it. When mine runs out I dont know if I'll renew or not, or just wait for the next major version. At least they're not as bad as one software vendor I deal with at work. If your support lapses and you try to get support later on, they charge you for the entire period you were without support too, PLUS a 25% penalty.
