> Linux text mode me too (most of the time, the rest is Pine in an X window). Pine interprets the mailcap settings ($HOME/.mailcap and /etc/mailcap files). Read the manual pages for them ... html mail reading does *not* depend on them though. Normally pine uses an internal viewer for html mail (plp:~ # pine -version Pine 4.40 built Mon Oct 8 23:27:45 IST 2001 on plp). This has been true for quite some time now .. (since pine 3.91 at least - I've been addicted to this since 1995 or so). If you can't figure it out email me privately and I'll help. The normal way html looks in Pine is, like a page viewed with the Lynx browser on a text terminal (with enter-able highlighted links etc). Peter PS: If you are inpatient then add the line: text/html;/usr/bin/lynx "%s" to your ~/.mailcap file. -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu
