Brain fart anyone? ;o) I didn't think about a capture program. I had a quick think about writing some software to do the EE circuits in ansi text. I don't think it would be too hard, just pick up the EE symbols with the mouse and place, then draw or erase wires from any point to point. Press one button and it can is copied to the windows clipboard and can be pasted into any text editor or email etc. It could have logic gates, transistors/fets/diodes opamps, chips of assorted sizes etc. Up to 80 char horiz max and about 50 high so the circuits could be viewable in any text program. So what features would you want from a schematic capture program? That is not going to be easy if you need it to capture stuff from different sources, that may have different sized symbols, text, etc etc. -Roman -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The list server can filter out subtopics (like ads or off topics) for you.
