I'll add another vote for the DS18S20.  I'm in the middle of building a remote
(RF) temp sensor.  The DS18S20 "worked right out of the box", plenty of sample
code to be had too (though I think the delay routines in the sample on
piclist.com are in error, I modified them before I tried them, working for me).
