How many times do you actually use a scope for an absolute measurement ? Almost never. One where you need the calibration level of accuracy ? Less than that. When you consider the width of the trace to the height of the screen, you're only seeing about 7 or 8 bits worth of resolution and then you are eyeballing that. Your money can be better spent on decent probes which is something where it does matter for general use.
