Does anyone here have experience with configuring an external modem on a =
PC that utilizes a modem on the motherboard ?

I would like to disable the modem on the motherboard and set up an =
external modem on one of the com ports.

It seems that even with the on-board modem disabled, there is some =
conflict problem "reported as hardware error" on the modem attached to =
the com port. Also, the "Add new modem" function in Windows (NT 4. =
Service pack 6) does not find the modem on the com port.

The modem is HSP56 AUDIOMODEM RISER, com port 1 is on the motherboard =
and com port 4 is a PCI card. The machine is KENETIC.
