I purchased the Palm V Travel Kit which comes with a straight through serial cable and connected my Palm V to the serial port on the micro. Add a dash of free terminal software from {download.com | tucows.com | palmgear.com}, simmer while stirring until golden brown and within minutes you'll have a ready to use Palm V interface. To create a more customized dish, one can season to taste with the free Palm developer tools. For those with a penchant for heat, an IrDa interface chip from {microchip.com | etc...} can be substituted for the serial cable, however I haven't actually tested this variant. YMMV. If you want to venture beyond the serial port there is a lot of info in the developer docs. I haven't had time to wade through all of it so I'm not sure if it has what you want. I've seen pinout diagrams for the Palm's on the net before, but I can't remember where. There are also several university sponsored palm-bot projects that should have lots of info available. I'm pretty sure the MIT project provided complete schematics and instructions. -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The PICList is archived three different ways.
