Hi Rod
       Just put a ferrite toroid on each I/O line from the PIC to the
outside world and that will choke off any RF coming from the beast, just
about anything will do so no need to get specific on particular ferrite
compositions.

Hello to all,

I have a question for the experts.  I want to use a 16HV540 to read manual
switch positions with about 150 feet of cable between the switches and the
pic.  The power through the switches is a clean 12vdc and will be going to
the hv inputs on port_b.  My question is, is it possible that the pic could
generate noise on the long cable that would interfere with other systems?  I
may need to use a port_b pin or two for output but the outputs won't be on
this cable.  Thanks in advance for your help.
