David, It is a 16F876. How do you do a bulk erase on MPLAB. I have been trying to figure out what I did to code protect it and it says "code protection all" does it mean that the chip is useless and I can not use it anymore. My understanding from the data sheet that there are three memory areas that can be protected; these are data memory, program memory and EE (flash) memory and these are set with the appropriate confid ID bits. I was fiddeling around with these and protected the lot. I'll get you the actual config ID for you tonight and e-mail it tomorrow, I just do not have it on me at the moment. Cheers. -----Original Message----- From: David Dunn [mailto:ddunn@tcainternet.com] Sent: Friday, 4 January 2002 3:49 PM To: PICLIST@mitvma.mit.edu Subject: Re: [PIC]: Removing Code Protection what PIC is it ? if it's a flash part, you'll have to do a bulk erase on it to get it un protected. dld On Thu, 3 Jan 2002 20:35:29 -0800, Omer Can Sirikci wrote: >Hi All, > >Happy New Year to everyone. > >I am new to PICs.
