Nope, never used it except on a hungry-looking dog that
followed me barking, being a real PITA. Civilians in NZ are
not allowed to carry anything like pepper spray, guns or
knives in public. Crims, of course, can carry anything they
damn well feel like

So personal protection devices tend to be along the lines
of sound bombs and monitored push-button alarms. Maybe
there's a place for a small flash-gun unit (eg made from the
used-up cameras we talked about a few weeks ago)
