Hi, If I am not wrong, FRAMs have a strong limitation on the number of memory accesses. This makes them ideal only for storing values that are read rarely (say during system boot-up). There was a very good article in "Embedded Systems Programming" magazine (forgot the date of issue) on the different types of non-volatile memory.
