Had similar problems with another 800Mhz running millennium. Could not capture sound or recorded sound was very quiet and badly distorted sound from line in and mic in. When using with video capturing software sound was delayed by about 10 secs. Really weird. Got a external(still inside the cover) sound card for it and worked like a dream. Also fixed a few other problems they were having. Some suggested new drivers for the board but that was difficult. Snag - can't seem to create .wav files The motherboard is an ASUS Cuple-VM + 800MHz Intel with on-board stereo input. The sound comes out the speakers OK but any capturing software merely records silence. So I'm guessing that somewhere or other there's a firmware link not established. I've looked in the manual and asked the supplier ("duh, I only sell them mate") to no avail The board is set as an SB16 emulator in the BIOS Don't know if this is connected, but Quake I is the only game or application that is also silent. Any s/w or driver suggestions ?
