Hmmm... yes, I think there are a lot of people that knew exactly where you
are coming from - but with the oldie machines, there is nothing like
'sitting in front of the box' to thaw out the old brain cells !

Just didn't respond because I couldn't offer anything other than
sympathy! My first embedded work was with 8051s using one of the
old Intel manufactured ICE systems on a full length PC card. At
the time we had a blue box but I never had any dealings with it.
